I was going through my son's room last week and came across my ultrasound pictures. I realized I haven't looked at them since I was pregnant (he's nearly four years old). Half of them were wrinkled and the other half were probably only looked at a few times before I put them in a box and stored them under the bed. I wondered what I could do with them... I'm not really a scrap-booking kind of person, and even then, how often would I actually look at the scrapbook?
As I was looking at their tiny hands and feet I couldn't help but reminisce.
I remembered our very first ultrasound at 12 weeks and seeing a little bean bouncing rhythmically because "it" had the hiccups. At 20 weeks we found out our first child was a boy and I swear Brian was already signing him up for golf lessons. I remember how weird it was to realize that I was growing a human. That is still weird to me!
After reminiscing in his room for a while, I decided I wanted the pictures out where I could see them regularly and remember all those sweet moments. My three year old was interested in the pictures too, so I decided to put them where he could view them without damaging them. I decided to find a handful of the kids' books and tape the pictures inside. I'm happy these precious moments will now be a part of our bedtime stories. <3
