Fall is basically here and we are so ready to take advantage of cooler weather, pumpkin everything, and family adventures. Fall has always been my favorite season and I love it even more now that I have little kids. From pumpkin patches to back yard bonfires, there are so many ways to celebrate as a family. I made a list of our favorite kid-approved traditions below. Let us know if there's anything you would add to the list!
- Visit a pumpkin patch
- Carve or paint pumpkins
- Have a Halloween movie night and drink hot cocoa
- Go to a football game
- Roast pumpkin seeds
- Apple picking
- Take pictures of the kids playing in the leaves
- Corn maze
- Make a bonfire and eat s'mores
- Bake pies
- Make a fall wreath for the front door
- Check out fall books from the library and read them before bed
- Donate new clothes, blankets, and food to people in need
- Invite friends over and make chili and cornbread
- Make apple cider
- Visit a local farmers market
- Have the kids make fall hand and foot print "art"
- Make autumn trail mix
- Collect pine cones and make pine cone crafts for decorating the house
- Go on a nature walk/scavenger hunt- teach the kids about the changing of the seasons.
